This tobacco pipe is one of my “personal” shapes, where, through some undeniable influences, I spontaneously combined materials and forms that reflected my mood at the time of construction.
The shape of the bowl directly refers to the volcano shape, while the shank and the way it balances the pipe refer to a poker shape.
All these, combined with the natural smooth finish of the Greek briar, the shank extension made of boxwood, the shank end in turned briar and the oversized disk on the hand-cut acrylic stem, create an interesting and playful aesthetic result.
